California’s College Corp Debt Free College for Volunteer Service Starts 2022

My dream (and, apparently, the dream of many others) is coming true!

I’m still doing a happy dance after reading the news that my home state of California will be giving select college students $10,000 for completing 450 hours of community service during the academic year.

Yep, 45 colleges and universities have stepped up to offer these AmeriCorp fellows the chance to give back to their communities while they earn their degrees.

This exactly why I wrote, Gap Year Project. To plant some seeds and show how a this type of monumental program can empower so many young people, strengthen communities, and encourage civic responsibility that will last generations.
